After merging with TBWA in 1995, becoming TBWA/Chiat/Day, the staff grew from 150 to 300 employees. To accomodate, the company acquired the 37th floor and punched an internal staircase between floors. Pesce designed the new floor of office space while making some renovations on the original 38th floor. The result provided more workstations and private areas, which had been requested by the employees.
